I think I also discovered that this is per claim. Even if you buy the claim and own it, you still have to pay to increase the number of machine slots. I also decided to test and see if buying the claim outright removes the cap on number of machines (thinking the limitation was because it was leased) but that does not appear to be the case. So far the extra slots have NOT capped out in price, but I only had enough money to test up to 6, and the price has continued to increase each time. I made a test save and took out the largest loan I could and then started adding machine slots to my Old Arnold claim. Decided to test this a tad more on my own.
